About Me
I’m Ryan, a social service professional with a decade of experience in food security, youth development, and community engagement in Atlanta. I believe in advocacy, equity, and making sure people have the resources they need to thrive. My journey started with a dual degree in Religion and Sociology from Emory University, and now I’m expanding my impact by pursuing a Master of Social Work at Georgia State.
I thrive in spaces where collaboration and problem-solving create real change. Whether I’m managing food programs, coordinating resources, or working with volunteers, I’m all in. For me, this work isn’t just a career. It’s a commitment to people and communities.

Finding Community Through Food: Ryan’s Story
As the year comes to a close, we’re reflecting on the impact of Concrete Jungle and the incredible people who make it happen. Meet Ryan Bigg, Food Pantry Coordinator at Intown Collaborative Ministries. An Atlanta native and Emory grad, Ryan has dedicated his career to tackling food insecurity, homelessness, and youth development.
Starting at ICM in 2020 as a housing navigator, he now leads their food programs, creating a space where people find not just nourishment but connection. One of his most memorable moments was encouraging a client to attend a local music festival where he danced for the first time in ten years.
Ryan believes food is more than just sustenance. It is a way to build trust and community. Read his full story and see how fresh produce from Concrete Jungle is changing lives one meal at a time.
